11th YoMos-workshop

We are happy to announce time and location of the upcoming 11th YoMos-workshop.

Location: Ecological Station "Neunzehnhain" of the TU Dresden Neunzehnhainer Str. 14, 09514 Lengefeld/Erzgebirge, Germany

Fee: 40,– EUR

We are looking forward to interesting presentations by our keynote speakers covering a diverse range of ecological modelling:

  • Bernd Blasius – University of Oldenburg Complex Ecosystem Modelling & Marine Bioinvasions
  • Boris Schröder-Esselbach – TU Braunschweig Landscape Ecology, Biogeography & Macroecology
  • Justin M. Calabrese – Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute Theoretical Ecology & Movement Ecology
  • Kerstin Wiegand – University of Göttingen Spatial Dynamics & Patterns
  • Thomas Müller – BiK-F Frankfurt Movement Ecology & Biodiversity Conservation
  • Uta Berger – TU Dresden Ecosystems Services & Environmental Modelling

Furthermore, we decided to offer for the first time a pre-workshop that will deal with data visualization in R. The hands-on course will take place before the YoMos-workshop, Sunday the 8th and Monday the 9th of May 2016, and cost 25,– EUR in addition.

If you are working in the field of ecological modelling as a Bachelor/Master/PhD student, you are welcome to present your work as a talk or poster and to exchange experiences and ideas with other young researchers and our invited keynote speakers!
