2017

We welcome Ueli Schmid as a new PhD student in the Forest Ecology Group! Ueli studied Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich and graduated in 2015 with a master thesis entitled "Management of selected Swiss forests under climate change". He is now working on a project about the intervention cycle in protection forests.

We welcome Mathieu Lévesque as a new Oberassistant in the Forest Ecology Group! Mathieu studied Forest Sciences at University Laval (Canada) and Tropical Forestry and Management at TU Dresden (Germany), and Agroforestry at Bangor University (UK). 

In September, the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) celebrated its 125^th anniversary with an international congress in Freiburg, Germany.
